Toronto Blue Jays | Return of the Logo
Proof that classics never die. I am happy they returned to their roots and scrapped that weird Anime looking head. I did like the newer type-treatment and it’s robust dimension, but overall the return of the old logo is a step in the right direction. Maybe I am impartial to this logo because it reminds me of the 1990’s and a flood of nostalgia sweeps through me…? Either way, my main issue with the newest logo is the baseball in the background. Is this really necessary? Less is more, and they have a lot of elements going on in the this solution. Let’s not over-complicate the situation by trying to bring back all of the original elements. One great lesson I have learned over the years is you have to ask yourself “Why?” for every element in every solution. What does this add? Is it necessary?
